I had a little time this week to put into the Nightmare Hunter piece. The perspective on the figure’s left leg was bugging me (and a few others) so I went back to the sketch. I used the current figure as a reference to color the sketch, and when I had both up in one photoshop document it seemed to fit. I tried placing both in the image, and this is what I ended up with.

Nightmare Hunter (ready to paint)
Wednesday, July 28th, 2010Nightmare Hunter (and an update)
Thursday, July 22nd, 2010I just noticed that I let three weeks go without posting here and I think I owe you an explanation. The good news is, I have been busy. I just finished up some cards for FFG including a couple of new personal favorites for Cthulhu. I also did some L5R cards. As soon as these are no longer under NDA I will post them here. I will have these on-hand at Gen Con and Dragon Con if you want a sneak peek.
I have also been doing a bit of design work. I geek out over alignment, usability, and solving design problems. Recently I’ve been doing Facebook apps, iPhone apps, even a commerce site. Again, once these projects land, I’ll show them off here.
Currently, I’m working on a baby book and a few commissions. While you wait for more, this is a painting I’m working on now. I feel a little naked showing this, because you can see the process in the page. Some photo reference is still hanging out there. This is all digital, Adobe CS5. You can see the sketch and the story here.
