Technically, this was the year after. In 2016 I won the Rehs Gallery award as part of the ARC Salon annual competition. My studio became an ebb and flow of intense material exploration and digital planning followed by a flurry of execution on all new work for two shows in October. In October of that year I had the distinct pleasure of showing with a small group of artists including Sergio Lopez, an old friend from art school, and Vanessa Lemen, a brilliant painter and educator.
